This letter is:in .reference to the retaining walls constructed by .Fransen-Pittman at the :above-
mentioned::locatlon. Installation of the retaining wall reinforced fill and grid was; periodically
observed by a representative of our office, during and upon completion of wall. construction. .'A
summaryof critical .items observed is listed; below:
1) . All segmental retaining wall units used to construct the mechanically stabilized earth
retaining walls_ matched the plans.:.
2) The maximum constructed height of the retaining walls did not exceed ttie retaining Wall
desi.gn:height shown on our plans.
3) Geogrid reinforcement was the correct type and appeared to have been installed correctly.
4.) All reinforced:backfill and block unit -fill material was:found to be per.plan.
5) The drain behind th.e wall.was in place.
Following the observations, the retaining walls appear. to be in general conformance with the
Retaining Wall Desigh prepared by Anchor Engirieering,; Inc., dated April 28,.2014. Final grading
around the walls should be verified by the Civil Engineer of record: for this site.
