Scone of Work
We propose to install the complete 40-mil, mechanically -attached Duro-Last single -ply roofing
system using white colored membrane according to the manufacturer's requirements, local
codes, and the following details:
1. The existing roof will be completely removed down to the deck and disposed of properly.
2. Deteriorated plywood decking, if any, will be removed and replaced on the time & materials
basis of $75 per hour, plus materials, which will not be marked up more than 15%.
3. 1/4" DensDeck will be installed directly under the roofing membrane, providing increased hail
protection and a, Class A fire rating. '
4. A 1/4" per foot sloped taper system will be installed to facilitate proper drainage.
5. 1/2" per foot sloped crickets will be installed as deemed necessary to facilitate proper
drainage. The parapet will be raised approx. 41/2" to accommodate the taper system.
6. Where the roof meets the higher walls, the membrane will terminate a nominal 12" - 18" .
above the roof deck.
7. The new membrane will run up and over the parapet walls and will be nailed off on the
outside edge and then new 24-gauge Galvalume metal in Kynar finish and in standard color
will be installed, (Custom and premium colors are extra. Color will be chosen by Owner.)
8. The existing parapet wall coping will be removed and disposed of properly.
9. All rooftop curbs and penetrations will be completed with custom prefabricated flashings.
10. Walkway pads will be installed at the entrance door to the roof,
11. Moisture relief vents will be installed about every 1,000 SF to effectively allow the roof to
breathe.
12. All welds will be checked for integrity and the roof and surrounding area will be cleaned of
all roofing debris.
13. All work will be performed in a courteous and professional manner.
14. All work performed will be done in accordance with required safety guidelines.
15. HVAC and electrical work, if any, to be done by others.
16. This proposal is contingent upon the city's approval of our scope of work.
