Dush, AICP Director of Community Development and Neighborhood Services March 11, 2010 Sec. 14-5. Standards for determining the eligibility for designation of sites, structures, objects and districts for preservation. Properties that possess exterior integrity are eligible for designation as Fort Collins Landmarks or Fort Collins Landmark Districts if they meet one (1) or more of the following standards for designation: (1) The property is associated with events that have made a significant contribution to the broad patterns of history; or Staff is not aware of any events associated with this property that would have made a significant contribution to the broad patterns of history. (2) The property is associated with the lives of persons significant in history; or Staff is not aware of any persons associated with the property whose lives made 'a significant historical event. (3) The property embodies the distinctive characteristics of a type, period, or method of construction, or that represents the work of a master, or possesses high artistic values, or represents a significant and distinguishable entity whose components may lack individual distinction; or While the property has some fine architectural elements they do not embody the distinctive characteristics of a type, period, or method of construction, nor does the property represent the work of a master or possess high artistic values or represent a significant and distinguishable entity whose components may lack individual distinction. Additionally, the home has an addition to the east that incorporates the roof elements of the original home, the windows are noticeably different. (4) The property has yielded, or may be likely to yield, information important in prehistory or history. There is no evidence that the property has yielded or is likely to yield any information important for prehistory or history.
