I refer to the above project, and request that this submittal be reviewed under the 2009 International Existing Building
Code.
The scope of work is restricted to the addition of new open steel sunshade and eyebrow features on all three floors of the
existing building. A curved open steel entry feature is proposed for the north corner of the building. Aside from attaching to
the existing structure, no work is planned on the interior of the building. None of the proposed additions extend beyond
more than 54" from the face of the exterior wall.
It would therefore appear appropriate that this scope of work be designated a Level 1 Alteration, as defined in chapter 4.
