As requested, Terracon performed shear wall, roof, and ceiling observations for the referenced section
of the project. Terracon's services were provided on a part-time basis, during March 30, 2004 to June
11, 2004.
Areas observed for Lot 82, Unit C (building type C4), by Terracon were as follows:
• Exterior structural wood shear wall nailing patterns and sheathing types.
• Roof sheathing and nailing patterns.
• Hold-down depth, type and general placement for designated shear walls.
• Exterior and interior strapping between floors for designated shear walls.
• Interior structural wood shear wall nailing patterns and sheathing types.
• Interior gypsum board shear wall and partition wall nailing patterns and sheathing
types.
• Double layer gypsum board of Garage ceiling fastener patterns and sheathing types.
Some items listed above were not able to be observed at certain times during construction.
Based on our observations, it is our opinion that the above work generally conforms to approved plans
and specifications provided to Terracon for this project (SCA Consulting Engineers, project number
21288, Construction issue date 09/27/2002, Sheets S0.02 and S6.07, S6.07A, and S6.076; and 1997
UBC, Tables 25-G and 25-H).
