The framing plans issued by this ofce for you project referenced above indicated that all
wall studs be Hem Fir #2 or better_ Your framing contractor wishes to use Douglas Fir -
Larch stud grade finger jointed studs. This fs a structurally acceptable situation, Finger
Jointed lumber maynot be used for plate material. Also, our,plans call for Simpson
HPAHD22 Holds+ m at shear wall locations on the unit buildings and Simpwn PAHD42
Hokiowns at shear wall locations on the garages. These holdings are poured into the
foundation A Simpson HTTM6 Holdown is an acceptable substitution for both, should
the builder choose a_ foundation bolt style holdow-n
