Re: Exterior Perimeter Drainage System Observation

A representative from Terracon observed the exterior perimeter drainage system at the above
referenced address on January 12, 2004, as requested. The exterior walls had been backfilled and
the drainage pipe was exposed at the northeast and southeast corners of the residence. A 4-inch
diameter, perforated PVC pipe was in place at the two locations observed. The drainage pipe was
observed to "daylight' at the northeast portion of the lot which was down gradient of the pipe
exposed at the northeast corner of the residence. A layer of washed gravel was observed below
and above the pipe and drainage filter fabric above the gravel at the two locations observed. The
waterproof dampening was also observed and in our opinion was uniformly applied to the exterior
foundations.
In our opinion the exterior drainage system at the locations observed was constructed in general
accordance with the plans and specifications for the project.
