Dear Madam or Sir:
Following, and enclosed, are the details requesting a building permit to finish the basement of my home
at 3033 Indigo Court, 80528. When the house was built, the basement was framed in, the bathroom
installed and electrical wiring installed. We are now going to complete basement finishes. The main
additions are electrical capacity, overhead lighting and carpet. Following is a list of estimated costs for
the work:
1. Studs for building two closets $ 60
2. Sheetrock for finishing walls and ceiling 350
3. Tape and Mud for finishing rock 1,700
4. Paint 200
5. Lighting and Panel hookups 1,500
6. Fixed Shelving 200
Permit Total $4,010
7. T.V. and Phone Cabling 75
8. Carpet 3,000
Grand Total $7,085
Enclosed is a drawing which shows the additions to be done. There two closets (with two walls each)
being added and one column being enclosed; those are the only new walls. They are shown circled in
blue. There are 3 florescent lights, 4 sconce lights, 5 regular lights, and 3 power duplex outlets being
added. A 60 Amp Sub Panel is being installed to accommodate two new 15 Amp circuits (one with 8
contacts and one with 7 contacts) and to provide additional capacity if required in the future. The
electrical additions are circled in red. Thank you.
