Gentlemen:
On June 11, 2003, a representative of Scott, Cox & Associates, Inc. visually observed the perimeter
drain system and damp -proofing for the new residence under construction at Lot 4, Block 13, West
Chase, (2221 Merlot Court), a subdivision of Fort Collins, Colorado.
We observed that the completed drain system consisted of perforated rigid PVC pipe surrounded by
gravel, overlying a plastic liner, set outside of the foundation walls. The drain appeared to be located
below the footing level and is to discharge to an interior sump pit.
We observed that the damp -proofing consisted of asphaltic spray -on coating. It appeared that the
damp -proofing coating adequately covered the foundation wall.
As a result of our observations, it is our opinion that the drainage system and damp -proofing were
in general conformance with the plans and specifications. If you have any questions about our
