Gentlemen:
A representative of Terracon observed the perimeter drain at the referenced site on August 26,
2002, as requested. A four -inch diameter perforated PVC pipe had been placed around the exterior
perimeter of the basement foundation. The drainage pipe appeared to exhibit positive drainage
toward the sump located within the basement area. We also observed 1 %2 inch washed gravel
placed above and below the pipe and drainage filter fabric above the gravel. A plastic membrane
was observed below the drainage system. The waterproof dampening was also observed and was
uniformly applied to the exterior foundations.
In our opinion the exterior perimeter drain was constructed in general accordance with the plans and
specifications for this project.
