Gentlemen:
We have inspected the framing supporting the double cantilever
beneath the master bedroom at the residence under construction at
the above referenced address. This inspection was performed on
April 26, 1991.
Existing framing consist of a two (2) foot cantilever floor joist
which runs back in the structure four (4) feet, for a total of six
(6) feet. The cantilever is currently framed into a double 2x10
which spans sixteen (16) feet. The cantilever supports twenty-four
(24) foot trusses. It is our opinion that the addition of one
additional 2x10 Hem Fir #1 for a total of three (3), supporting the
these floor joist, will be adequate to support code live load and
dead load due to uplift on the triple floor joist.
