2000 for footing construction obsovaskm Foundation excavation observations were conducted
at this time. The soils noted at the bottom of the arawlspaoe addition ttousavation consisted
primarily of silty clay. The stile noted exNbit moderate bearing capacities with low to moderate
swell potential, based on the clay content observed.
This portion of the she is suitable for a spread footing foundation system, The lbundstion plan
for the proposed addition, which was revised by Shear Engineering Corporation and dated May

walls shall be darnpproand according to the requitnmerRa M f 997 IBC, Appendix Chapter 19,
Watapr%-MM and Dampproo!!ng Foundations, A 1oundation drain system wlG be required. A
Sump ph to be located in this basement Is recommended as a secondary drain eutM.
