March 30, 1998 Commission No.: 3929-04-04-04 Rayline Development Corporation 3600 South College Avenue #204 Fort Collins, Colorado 80525 RE: Lot 32, Siena Subdivision (2703 Pleasant Valley Road), Fort Collins, Colorado Gentlemen: On March 26, 1998 a representative of this firm performed visual observations at the above referenced location. The purpose of these observations was to evaluate the crack in the foundation wall and give recommendations for any necessary corrections. Based on our observations, we have determined that the crack occurred during the backfilling operations. At this time, the crack does not affect the structural integrity of the wall; however, steps should be taken to prevent any possible additional movement in the future. We recommend that a 2x10 be placed under the floor joists, butting against the existing sill plate. The bottom flange of each floor joist should be nailed on each side of the web to the 2x 10.
