A representative of Terracon observed the exterior perimeter drain construction at the
referenced site on April 29, 2002, as requested. A four -inch diameter perforated PVC pipe
had been placed around the exterior perimeter of the basement foundation. The drainage
pipe appeared to exhibit positive drainage toward the sump pump located within the
basement area. We also observed 1 Y2 inch minus washed gravel placed below and above
the pipe. The waterproof dampening of the foundation system was also observed and in our
opinion was completed in general accordance with standard residential practices.
In our opinion the exterior perimeter drain and waterproof dampening was constructed in
general accordance with the plans and specifications for this project.
