Open Joist 2000 may optionally have the bottom cord strongback bracing placed at 10' o-o.
Swongback bracing is placed for vibration and serviceability issues and not for sttmgth reasons.
The Optm Joist 2000 trusses will carry the appropriate design losda without my sirongbackf
,bracing when used with properly installed SIB" or thicker span rated top chord sheathing and
proper end restraints.
Strongback bracing may be cut as needed to allow for plumbing, mechanical or electrical runs.
Provisions shall be made to account for vibration or serviceability if needed.
For spacings greaw than 10' o.c., contact our engsneering department.
