Collins, CO 80521 RE: Open Excavation Inspection For Lot 1, Galegos Subdivision Dear Gary: We have inspected the open excavation at the above refer- enced location on July 7, 1988. The exposed soils were of a varied nature and indicate a balanced spread footing type of foundation system designed in accordance with the recommen- dations contained in the soils and foundation report per formed by Landmark Laboratories Ltd., Job No. 3986-CE3I-09 158, dated April 8, 1988 is suitable. No water was encoun- tered to a depth of 2.0 feet. As noted above, there were varying types of soil present, some of which appeared to be fill material and/or cinders. These layers were only about 3" to 4" thick and were in small intervals randomly spaced. It is our opinion that these areas do not pose a structural problem. If you have any questions, please call. Sincerely, Landmark Laboratories Ltd. Rodney A. Harr RAH/ej The abov Colo.
