Gentlemen:
Terracon Consultants Western, Inc. observed foundation construction for the storage building located
west of the main building at 1313 Blue Spruce Drive, Fort Collins, Colorado on May 16, 1996.
At the time of our observations, the concrete slab was isolated from the timber perimeter of the structure
with expansion material and/or rigid insulation. Hairpins consisting of #4 x 6' 0" reinforcing were installed
through the exterior timber columns. The perimeter expansion material and hairpins observed were in
general accordance with the plans prepared for the project.
At the time of our observations, the interior concrete slab on grade was formed for a minimum slab
thickness of 4".
