RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED
Dear Sir:
An inspection of the premises at 1234 Maple on
January 24th and 25th, 1972, showed that you are maintain-
ing a junk yard. A junk yard is defined by Ordinance 46,
1965 as amended as:
"An industrial use (not permitted in
residential, business or commercial district)
contained within a building, structure
or parcel of land, or portion thereof, used
for the collecting, storage or sale of
waste paper, rags, scrap metal or discarded
material; or, for the collecting, dismantling
storage, salvaging, or demolition of vehicles,
machinery or other material and including
the sale of whole or parts thereof."
Your property is located in an area zoned RM(Medium
density residential). Inasmuch as the use is prohibited
I am required by section 23.4 of the same ordinance to order
the prompt remedying of the'violation. This letter constitutes
an order to remove all junk, such as automobiles, boats, wagons,
scrap iron, etc., accumulated on the premises and to restore
the land to a neat and orderly condition. Since you have
been previously warned regarding this accumulation of material
by the Chief of Police, I believe fifteen days is ample time
for complete removal. On February 10th, 1972, the premises
will be reinspected. Should unusual circumstances necessitate
that you need more time please contact the undersigned.
