Re: DDA Downtown Parking Garage
Dear Felix,
This letter is to confirm the code interpretation per our meeting on
Tuesday, October 4th. It is my understanding that the U.B.C. will allow
a horizontal exit from an office building into an open Parking Garage
provided the wall between the two occupancies is two hour with one and
one-half hour doors.
It is also my understanding that you will allow the use of two horizon-
tal exits plus another exit by the main stair in order to meet sec. 3302
(c). These three exits shall be arranged a reasonable distance apart so
that if one becomes blocked, the others will be available.
If this meets with your approval, please sign and return one copy. If
not, please contact me so we may resolve the problem. Thank you for
your time and consideration.
