Gentlemen:
On November 10, 2000, Weeks & Associates observed the foundation excavation at the
referenced site as requested. Observations indicate the soil at the foundation level is lean clay
with sand and gravel. This soil is similar to those described in the geotechnical reports for the
site by Advanced Professional Engineering, Inc. (Project No. 69-7N-24-336), and Empire
Laboratories, Inc. (Project No. 7369-88).
Based on site observations and a review of the geotechnical reports, it is our opinion the spread
footing foundation system as recommended in the geotechnical reports and detailed on the
foundation plan by Weeks & Associates, Inc., Project No. 20274, is applicable for the site soil
conditions.
