Gentlemen:
We have observed the drilling of several of the ton 110) tnah
diameter, straight shaft Triers supporting the residence under
construction at Lot 1, The Overlook at Woodridge, P.U.D., First
Filing (1801 overlook Drive), a subdivision of Fort Collins,
Colorado. This inspection was performed on January 20, 1992.
Exposed soils consist of two (2) feet of sandy clays over a
claystone bedrock, which extends to the depths drilled,
approximately eight (8) feet.
During construction, number 4 grade 60 reinforcing may be
substituted for number 5 grade 40 reinforcing.
All piers observed were plumb, properly cleaned, and of adequate
length as specified on our foundation plan, Job No. 1419-01-12-03.
No water was encountered during drilling, Although, caging was not
required, we recommend that concrete be placed immediately after
drilling of each individual caisson,
