Description of Work: VT of structural steel erection and repair.
Persons Notified of Results: M. Walker/Terracon; C. Drahota/Drahota Const.
Observations: Per the request of C. Drahota of Drahota Construction, visual inspection of
the erection of structural steel was performed at level 1. A325 bolt connections were
found acceptably complete in all areas except at grid F-4 where one bolt was noted as not
placed at beam to column connection.
Visual inspection of repairs to deficient conditions previously reported 5/19/97 was
performed with results as noted in the following locations:
Level 2 and Roof level: Shear stud welding acceptably repaired in all areas.
Level 2, line 7, C-D: Beam to column connection bolts acceptably placed.
Level 2, grids G.7-7 and G-3: Connections noted for mismatched bolt hole
patterns were reviewed by R. Bowers of Front Range Steel and were found to be
acceptable as is; extra bolt holes were discovered to detailing errors.
