Ms. Fredrickson:
On April 1, 1993, an engineer from Empire Laboratories, Inc.
visited the above -referenced site as requested by Ritz Houton. The
purpose of this visit was to render an opinion based upon visual
observations regarding the feasibility of placing a room below the
existing enclosed deck area at the rear of the house.
Based on our observations of the existing construction, it is our
opinion that the proposed construction of the room beneath the deck
area is feasible provided the foundation is constructed in
accordance with detail provided by Empire Laboratories, Inc. dated
March 25, 1993. The existing concrete footing should be adequately
shored during the construction.
