RE: 746 North College Handicapped Accessibility Issues
Dear Sharon:
As we discussed yesterday we are finding it difficult to connect the sidewalk adjacent to College
Avenue to the building with a means of handicapped access. The problem is that the elevation
changes that occur between the existing building and the new sidewalk will not allow for an
accessible path to be created. In order to create the path one would have to raise the existing
parking lot grade approximately 8" and this would interfere with the natural drainage that is
being required to be maintained by the storm water department.
We would like to use the proposed handicapped parking stall as a vehicle drop off point for
handicapped access.
Attached is a revised drawing showing the proposed plan for your review.
We are anxious to resolve this matter so we can get the parking lot *,fore winter. If you need
