Subject: storage deck design loading. 1408 Riverside K;place West stone.
The deck is framed with 10 foot long 2x10 Hem -fir 42 that span 9 feet across the three office walls.
Spaced at 16 inch c/c and at a 125 psf live -load plus 10 psf dead -load the maximum span is 9'-3"
from bearing wall to bearing wall. Live -load deflection is on the order of .19 inch or 1/566. Double
2x6 headers at the 36" doorways are adequate.
The Storage area on top of the office area built as described is adequate for 125 psf.
