Gentlemen:
On October 17, 1989, a representative of Empire Laboratories, Inc.
made observations during the caisson construction at the above -referenced
project. The purpose of the observations was to (1) identify the bedrock
stratum, (2) assure proper penetration into the firm bedrock was
obtained, (3) assure that the drill holes observed were thoroughly
cleaned prior to concrete placement and (4) check drill holes as to proper
diameter and plumbness.
It is our opinion that the portions and aspects of the work which were
observed were done in accordance with the plans and specifications for
the project. If we can be of any further assistance, please feel free to
