Re: Outdoor String Lighting

Dear Steve,
We have reviewed the information you submitted, in support of your request for a variance for the
outdoor string lighting installed at the above address. The sample of the lighting system does not
have the stamps for C.S.A. or E.T. L. as described in the literature. Furthermore, the information
list this lighting system as "Indoor" use, with no reference for "Outdoor" use.
Based on the information submitted, the request for a variance for use of this string lighting
system is denied and I am requiring that the lighting be removed upon receipt of this letter, as
soon a practical, and no later than August 20, 1997.
I understand your need to provide a lighting effect that is conducive to the patio dining
atmosphere, and I would suggest that you contact a lighting design professional for help in
installing a permanent approved lighting system that will meet your needs.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to call. Thank you for your assistance in this
matter.
