Our records indicate that the work located at 3718 Mariner Lane
authorized under permit #05612 issued on 5/6/81 has.either not yet
commenced or has been inactive since 5/29/81 . The permit was for
PH 003) 484-4220
remodeling.
Please be advised that as of 12/31/81, an abandonment period of 180
days will have elapsed and your permit referenced above will then ex-
pire. No further work may continue, nor.will inspections be made after
the expiration date without .first obtaining a new permit. If you feel
this notice is in error, please notify our office immediately at
484-4220, ext. 636.

APPEAL NO. 245 - Application made by Joe Vansant on behalf of Susan Gunn for a
variation from the requirements of.Section 105 and 3303 (d) of the Uniform
Building Code (1976 Edition) so as to. permit a 32" wide exit door instead of.the
required 36" wide door from one unit of a duplex. .
Status of Building: Address 510 Park Street - formerly a single family residence
that was moved to the present address at 510 Park Street. A permit was issued
for the conversion to a duplex and work is in progress. MOTION MADE by Dick
Hollar that the variance be granted since it appears not simple to change the
door width due to architectual features, the small amount of space involved and
the previous use of the building. SECONDED by Chuck Onstad. MOTION APPROVED
UNANIMOUSLY.
APPEAL -NO. 246 - Application made by Roger Malone for an interpretation of a
variation from the requirements of Section 420 and 1706 of the Uniform Building
Code (1976 Edition) so as to permit a vertical opening through two floors without
fire -protection.
Status of Building: Address: 3718 Mariner Lane - Single family residence under
construction. Motion made by Dick Hollar that the building plans be accepted as
presented and that by virtue of the Boards interpretation that this is not a
quote , shaft, unquote, a variance is not needed. SECONDED by Harold Miller.
MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
APPEAL NO. 248 - Application made by Brian Berquist on behalf of Victoria Limited
for a variation from Tables 5A and 33A, Sections 3303 (h), 3305 (b), (d) and (J)
and Section 1716 of the Uniform Building Code (1976 Edition).
Status of building: Address 202 Remington - existing 3-story building with un-
finished basement located at 202 Remington in Fire Zone #I. Presently classified
as an R-1 Occupancy. Applicant proposes to convert first two floors to B-2 office
use. Third floor to remain to be occupied as one dwelling unit. Exterior walls
are masonry except for one story room on Southwest corner and rear porch.
The south wall of the building is six (6") inches from the property line at the
j closest point. Other distances from the south wall to property line are 5' and
10' with openings in the walls at each floor level. Code requires that openings
shall be protected less than 20 feet.
