The plans and specifications submitted for the remodel of Wendy's at 3710 S. College
Ave., Ft. Collins, have been reviewed by this department and are approved. Please be sure
the following items are properly addressed by the respective subcontractors:
1. The plans include wrapping the hoods in stainless steel, a visual inspection of the
completed work is necessary to assure the surfaces and seams are made to be smooth and
easily cleanable.
2. Floor sinks must be installed to be flush with the finished floor, they cannot be installed
under equipment or cabinetry where they cannot be cleaned. Drain lines from the drink
dispensers and drink overflow drains must be air -gapped to the floor sink.
3. All plumbing and electrical conduit are to be installed within and behind walls or floors.
Exposed water pipes, sewer lines, or electrical conduit running along walls or floors is not
approved.
4. Floors, walls, ceiling, counter tops, storage shelves, cabinets and all work surfaces
located within the kitchen, restroom, wait station, customer self-serving area must be of an
approved material that is smooth, easily cleanable, nonabsorbent, light color and able to
facilitate cleaning.
5. Careful implementation of a plan to avoid cross contamination of the food preparation
and dining area must be observed during the remodeling project. Failure to properly provide
protection from dust, fumes, vapors and other hazards could result in the temporary closure
of the food service activities.
Please notify this department at least 48 hours prior to your completion date so that a
final acceptance inspection can be performed. Feel free to contact this office if questions
