Dear Mr. Terhune:
A representative from Terracon observed the interior and exterior foundation footing
sizes and wall steel reinforcement, including the "concrete -encased electrode" (CEE),
for the above referenced lot on October 21 and 23, 2009 as requested.
Based upon our limited on -site observations, the foundations were constructed and the
observed steel appeared to have been placed in general accordance with the provided
plans and specifications.
It should be noted that our observation services were performed on an as -requested
basis, and only when requested by the above -listed client or their designated
representative. Terracon's services do not include surveying of the locations or
elevations of foundations elements. We offer no opinion regarding material and/or
construction not observed by Terracon representatives. This letter is provided solely for
the benefit for the above -listed client and does not impact in any way the rights and
obligations of third parties, including contractors and subcontractors who may have
provided the materials and/or construction services observed.

A representative of Terracon Consultants, Inc. (Terracon) performed a foundation damp -proofing
observation at the subject site on October 28, 2009.
The purpose of these services was to observe that damp -proofing was in locations of below grade
basement foundation walls enclosing habitable space areas in general accordance with Foundation
Damp -proofing, 2003 International Residential Code (IRC), Section R406. The observation did not
include measurement of the coating thickness or determining the type of coating used.
Based on our limited observation, the foundation damp -proofing appeared to have been applied in
general accordance with the above mentioned standards. It should be noted that our observation
services were performed on an as -requested basis, and only when requested by the above -listed client
or their designated representative. We offer no opinion regarding materials and/or construction not
observed by Terracon representatives. This letter is provided solely for the benefit for the above -listed
client and does not impact in any way the rights and obligations of third parties, including contractors
and subcontractors who may have provided the materials and/or construction services observed.

Re: Exterior Perimeter Drain Observation

A representative of Terracon Consultants, Inc. (Terracon) observed the installed perimeter drain at
the subject site on October 28, 2009. The purpose of these services was to:
• Observe that properly sized pipe and gravel had been placed as recommended
• Observe that the perimeter drain system had been placed at the locations
recommended in the Geotechnical Engineering Report, Terracon Consultants, Inc.
Project No. 20075058, dated November 5, 2007
Confirm that the perimeter drain system had been sloped to a sump pit for discharge
Based upon our limited on -site observations, the observed drain appeared to have been
constructed in general accordance with the provided plans and the referenced geotechnical
engineering report. It should be noted that our observation services were performed on an as -
requested basis, and only when requested by the above -listed client or their designated
representative. We offer no opinion regarding materials and/or construction not observed by
Terracon representatives. This letter is provided solely for the benefit for the above -listed client
and does not impact in any way the rights and obligations of third parties, including contractors
and subcontractors who may have provided the materials and/or construction services tested or
