The "Ufer" electrical ground system was placed in the footing and meet the requirements of Article 250.52(A)(3) of the 2008 National Electrical Code (NEC). Job No. 139463 October 9, 2013 Journey Homes,Northern CO 7251 W. 20th St., L-200 Greeley, CO 80634 � Re: Open Excavation Observation 2233 Bar Harbor Dr Lot 14, Block 26, Maple Hill, Final Plat Fort Collins, Colorado Dear Larry: RMG Engineers Group (RMG) conducted a foundation excavation review for a single-family residence under construction at the above-referenced site located in Fort Collins, Colorado on October 9, 2013. The footings were excavated to the silty sand, which is similar to those soils described in the Subsurface Soil Investigation, Maple Hill Subdivision — Final Geotech, Fort Collins, Colorado, prepared by RMG Engineers Group, RMG Job No. 139242 and dated September 30, 2013. RMG did not encounter groundwater within three feet of the proposed footing elevation. The soils supporting the footings will be a low expansive material. Based on the soil conditions encountered within three feet of the footing level, a continuous spread footing may be designed and constructed in accordance to the above mentioned Subsurface Soil Investigation.
