HomeMy WebLinkAbout2532 Sunbury Ln - Special Inspections/Engineering - 10/01/2013Structural • Gectechnicel ElNG.I,NEE,RS y, Job No. 139457 October 1, 2013 Journey Homes, Northern CO 7251 W. 20th St., L-200 Greeley, CO 80634 Re: Footing and Foundation Observation 2532 Sunbury Ln Lot 39, Block 20, Maple Hill, Final Plat Fort Collins, Colorado Dear Larry: As requested, personnel of RMG Engineers Group (RMG) observed the footing and foundation formwork and reinforcing steel for the above referenced single family residential property and found them to be in substantial compliance with the design drawings prepared by High Plains Engineering & Design, LLC for this structure. The "Ufer" electrical ground system was placed in the footing and meet the requirements of Article 250.52(A)(3) of the 2008 National Electrical Code (NEC). RMG found it to be complete and in substantial compliance with the design drawings prepared by High Plains Engineering & Design, LLC for this structure at the date of this observation. The footings were excavated to the clayey silt, which is similar to those soils described in the Subsurface Soil Investigation, Maple Hill Subdivision — Final Geotech, Fort Collins, Colorado, prepared by RMG Engineers Group, RMG Job No. 139242 and dated September 30, 2013. RMG did not encounter groundwater within three feet of the proposed footing elevation. The soils supporting the footings will be a low expansive material. Based on the soil conditions encountered within three feet of the footing level, a continuous spread footing may be designed and constructed in accordance to the above mentioned Subsurface Soil Investigation.
