On April 3, 2013 a representative of Northern Colorado Geotech performed an excavation observation
for a residence under construction at the above referenced site in Fort Collins, Colorado.
The soil exposed at the upper and lower footing level consisted of sandy lean clay. These materials
are similar to those encountered by Northern Colorado Geotech during our subsurface exploration at
the site (Project No. 194-12, dated December 14, 2012). Based on our observations and the
recommendations of the geotechnical engineering report, it is our opinion that the proposed residence
may- be supported by a spread footing foundation system.. The foundation should be designed in
accordance with the recommendations and specifications provided- in the geotechnical engineering
report.
Groundwater or bedrock was not encountered within two feet of the lower footing. level. However, as
a precaution, we recommend the installation of an exterior perimeter drain around the lower level of
the structure. The dewatering system should be constructed in accordance with recommendations of
the geotechnical engineering report.

Gentlemen:
On April 26 and 30, 2013, a representative of Weeks & Associates observed footings
and foundation wall steel at the referenced site. Observations indicate the footing sizes
and foundation steel reinforcement are in substantial accordance with the engineered
foundation plan for the project by Weeks & Associates. In addition, the electrode had
been placed in accordance with the recommendations by NEC. ,

On May 20, 2013 a representative of Northem Colorado Geotech performed a perimeter drain
observation at the above referenced address in Fort Collins, Colorado.
The perimeter drain consists of 4-inch perforated PVC placed around the exterior perimeter of the
basement. It is our understanding that the drain will be connected to the subdivision underdrain. The
pipe was surrounded by pea gravel. Filter fabric had been placed over the gravel. The installation of
the perimeter drain appeared to be in general accordance with project plans and specifications.
We also observed that damp proofing had been applied to the below grade foundation. .
