Re: Construction Observation and Testing — Final Compliance Summary Letter
Bucking Horse Filing One — Community Pool and Clubhouse Structure
Median Area within Nancy Gray Roadway Alignment
Fort Collins, Colorado
EEC Project No. 1124098
Mr. Campana:
As you are aware, during various construction phases for the referenced community pool and
clubhouse structure located within the "football shaped median" along Nancy Gray, Earth
Engineering Consultants (EEC) personnel, provided construction observation and testing services of
requested items on a part-time/periodic, as-needed/on-call basis as scheduled by the project's
contraction manager, Bellisimo, Inc., as per the project specifications. Bi-monthly construction
materials testing (CMT)/quality control (QC) reports concerning the services provided by EEC
personnel were submitted to the developer and to the project design team members' attention during
the appropriate time period(s) as the test results became available. We have recently been asked by
Mr. Nico Campana, the project's construction manager with Bellisimo, Inc., to provide a summary
and/or compliance letter addressing the services performed by EEC personnel regarding the
foundation construction for the clubhouse building.
During the foundation construction phase for the referenced project, EEC personnel provided site
observations including a foundation-excavationP'open-hole observation" along with field density
testing of on -site subsoils/replaced as engineered fill material within the foundation alignments,
interior floor slab areas, and backfill adjacent to foundation walls, as recommended in the project -
specific subsurface exploration report, (please refer to EEC's "Surface Exploration Report" dated
January 29, 2013, Project No. 1122025). EEC personnel provided reinforcement observations of
the foundation system including the conventional spread footings placed on either native subsoils
and/or approved engineered/controlled fill material, the cast -in -place concrete foundation walls, and
of the interior floor slab. EEC personnel also provided testing of all cast -in -place concrete for the
foundation system, the interior floor slab, the "shot-crete" cementitious material used to create the
pool liner, along with the exterior concrete flatwork areas.

Compliance Summary CMT/QC Report
Bucldng Horse — Community Pool and Clubhouse

Based on our review of the outlined testing, as directed and/or scheduled by the construction
management agency, and completed by EEC personnel on an as -needed basis, the final field density
test results within the building footprint, and associated exterior flatwork, along with associated site
utilities, met the project compaction requirements for fill materials placed and compacted to
redevelop the foundation bearing strata, interior floor slab elevations, backfill placed adjacent to
foundation walls and within on -site utility trenches. Laboratory compressive strength tests
completed on the cast -in -place concrete for all foundation elements and floor slabs, along with the
"shot-crete" for the pool, all conformed to the project specified minimum 28-day compressive
strengths requirements.
Observations of reinforcement within the clubhouse and swimming pool structure's foundation
systems and/or liner portion for the project, (i.e., the cast -in -place conventional spread footings,
cast -in -place foundation walls, and shot-crete liner), were completed by EEC personnel and reports
were submitted to your attention during the appropriate periods as the results became available.
Based on our review of the outlined observations, we believe the reinforcement within the
foundation system and structural relative elements were placed and constructed in general
compliance with the project plans and specifications for the project.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions
regarding this report or if we can be of further service to you in any other way, please do not
hesitate to contact us.
Very truly yours,
