Attempts to sell as two detached single family houses on one lot. Per attached the rear structure may have been constructed in the county in 1948 and possibly as a dwelling. In 1951 a permit pulled for a detached single family structure in the front with conditions that the "P(r)esent garage shall be abandoned and not used for living quarters". Then in 1952 a permit was pulled to "Install overhead door in garage, remove partitions, etc". No other records in City Docs other than a letter by the City Atty. March (1956?) acknowledging a non -conforming use (as to legal or not no opinion generated) and that the City will not make the non -conforming use conform if annexed in the City as non -conforming. Apparently not all the evidence was revealed to Art March however in terms of any legal transfer regardless of how many years in the City the accessory bldg. was used as a dwelling there was an order conditioned upon the house construction permit that the garage was to be abandoned as a living quarters.
