Foundation Reinforcement Observation

Dear Mr. Everitt:
On September 26, 2012, a representative from this office visited the site referenced above to
observe the foundation wall reinforcement size, and location and to confirm the vertical
reinforcement spacing in foundation forms. The reinforcement appeared to be in general
compliance with the foundation drawing and details by T2 Structural Engineering, project
number: 11-110, dated September 19, 2012.
There are two Ufer bars, one on the west garage foundation wall and one on the east basement
foundation wall. The west Ufer bar is located approximately 4-feet from the north face of the
garage and the west Ufer bar is located approximately 2-feet from the front basement foundation
wall. The Ufer bars were lapped and tied to the continuous bottom row of reinforcing steel.
Protect freshly placed concrete from temperatures that will compromise the design strength of
the concrete. Concrete placement and reinforcement is to be installed in accordance with ACI
318 and the 2006 IRC.
