Fax, (970) 622-9324 October 7, 2012 Mr. Jared Stanton F) Jamestown Builders, Inc. 3003 East Harmony Road Suite #400 Fort Collins, CO 80528 Perimeter Drain and Damp -proofing Observation The Atwood Lot 4, Lindenmeier Estates 1009 Linden Gate Court Fort Collins, Colorado Project Number: 11-110-33 Dear Mr. Stanton: On October 3, 2012, a representative of this office visited the site referenced above to observe the perimeter drain and the damp -proofing of the exterior foundation walls that retain earth and enclose habitable or usable spaces located below grade. The perforated pipe was bedded in gravel, with building paper over the pipe. There were two sump pits located on the interior side of the foundation walls. The exterior perimeter drain pipe should drain towards and the pipe were connected to their respective sump pits. The damp -proofing appeared to adequately cover the foundation walls. The damp -proofing application is used to help reduce moisture that can permeate through the foundation wall. Damp -proofing is effective in the absence of hydrostatic pressure and cracks in the foundation. It is important to keep vegetation that requires watering out of the backfill area of the foundation excavation.
