First Filing; Fort Collins, Colorado (6564 Rookery Road) Dear Mr. Michael and Vicki, Excavation observations were performed by Northern Colorado Geotech of Greeley. The letter prepared by Northern Colorado Geotech was dated October 6, 2004. The letter states that the excavation went well and that the 3-foot over -excavation will not be necessary. Exterior perimeter drain is required. Shear Engineering Corporation was present on Friday, October 15, 2004 and Monday, October 18, 2004 for foundation footing formwork and foundation footing reinforcing placement observations. Shear Engineering Corporation was present on Thursday, October 21, 2004 and Monday, January 10, 2005 for foundation wall reinforcing placement observations. These observations were made to confirm that foundation footing formwork and foundation footing reinforcing placement and foundation wall reinforcing placement were completed in substantial compliance with the direction, details and specifications noted on the foundation plan prepared by Shear Engineering Corporation dated May 2004 (latest revision date 10/08/04) and the special foundation wall detail prepared by Shear Engineering Corporation dated 10/12/2004. A copy of the special foundation wall detail is attached for immediate reference. All foundation footing formwork and foundation footing reinforcing placement and foundation wall reinforcing placement were completed in substantial compliance with the direction, details and specifications noted on the foundation plan and with the attached special foundation wall detail prepared by Shear Engineering Corporation dated 10/12/2004. Shear Engineering Corporation was present on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 for perimeter drain installation and foundation wall dampproofing observations. Perimeter drain installation observations were made to confirm that perimeter drain installation was completed in substantial compliance with the direction, details and specifications noted on the foundation plan and in substantial compliance with the recommendations of the geotechnical investigation report. First Filing; Fort Collins, Colorado (6564 Rookery Road) Dampproofing observations were made to confirm that dampproofing material and application was completed in substantial compliance with ASTM D-449 Type II and ASTM D-41 specifications and the federal specification SS-A-701. Dampproofing (DECO 20) was applied to the exterior face of concrete basement walls that retain earth and enclosed habitable space. The dampproofing was applied from the top of the footing to the assumed finished grade elevation. Dampproofing coating material and application (DISSCO 521) meets the ASTM D-449 Type II and ASTM D-41 specifications and the federal specification SS-A-701.
