Karen,
This morning I inspected this property and have found the following:
1) The front porch is an add -on with little or no foundation. This porch has settled to the South by several inches.
2) The back porch is an add -on with an exposed poured foundation concrete. This porch has separated from the house by
several inches along the south wall. The foundation shows several open cracks and is no longer viable as a supporting
foundation.
3) The floor system throughout the home appears to be over -spanned for the size of the floor joist
4) The homes original foundation is a "stack rubble" system that is showing signs of deterioration and displacement
Based on the conditions identified today, this home is considered uninhabitable. In order for this property to be re -occupied
the following items are to be corrected:
1) The front porch is to be re -leveled and a permanent foundation installed or the porch is to be removed.
2) The back porch foundation is to be replaced or the porch is to be removed.
3) The floor system is to be re-evaluated by a profession engineer and re -supported or replaced as needed.
4) The entire foundation system is to be re-evaluated by a profession engineer and re -supported or replaced as needed
