Re: Temporary parking lot for 351 Linden Street
Dear Howard:
I have reviewed your proposed temporary parking lot plans with City Planner Anne Aspen and
with Cameron Gloss, Director of Current Planning. Your request is approved with the following
conditions:
1. The use of the lot is allowed until August 1, 2007 or until the completion of a permanent
parking lot, whichever occurs sooner.
2. Parking stalls need to be defined by the use of concrete wheel stops or some other
effective device.
3. Handicap parking stalls aren't allowed on gravel surfaces. Therefore, please do not
designate any stalls for handicap parking.
4. The row of 4 parking spaces abutting the building needs to be removed or reduced in
size by the elimination of the 2 handicap parking spaces. This is necessary in order to
allow for more efficient vehicular circulation to accommodate turning movements.
5. A zoning site inspection of the lot will be required once you have completed the
temporary improvements. The inspection can be scheduled by calling 416-2745.
I hope that your plans for a permanent parking solution can be finalized within the next 6 months
and that this temporary parking lot will be helpful in the meantime. Please contact me if you
have any questions regarding this matter or if you need any assistance regarding the approval
process for your permanent parking lot.
