John, at your request, 1 reviewed a field condition for the roof framing at a set of upper units.
The roof truss was intended to bear at a location where a pantry is framed, and a flue extends
up through the roof. A sketch of this location, and revised framing details are included for
field installation.
As we discussed in the field, there are a number of possible alternate framing conditions that
can be considered, as described in the attached details. The framers can build the most
practical and expedient approach.
Please forward a copy of this to the field for use and for documentation for the Building
Department with the plan sets if required. Please call if you have any questions.
