As you are aware, the Landmark Preservation Commission has given
authorization to the shed roof currently in place over the rear entrance
at !227 Jefferson. With this authorization, you should be able to pay
the applicable fees, obtain a permit, and come into compliance with
local building codes.
The Commission also approved your request to install curb stops as
necessary along the east and west property lines of the back parking
area for 221-227 Jefferson Street.
The Commission also approved your request to patch and re -stucco the
rear elevation of the buildings at 221-227 Jefferson Street. This
approval was subject to the following conditions:
1. The existing brick chimney, stone window lintels, and star tie rod
ends shall not be covered over by the stucco treatment.
2. The plywood window covers shall be painted to match the color of the
stucco.
3. The first story windows that have been filled in by cinder blocks
shall be covered with stucco to match the rest of the rear facade.
4. The fire escape shall be treated with a rust -inhibitive paint in a
gray tone.
