Gentlemen:
Terracon observed the exterior perimeter drain construction at the referenced site on
September 27, 2000, as requested. A four -inch diameter perforated PVC pipe had been
placed around the exterior perimeter of the crawl space foundation. The drainage pipe
appeared to exhibit positive drainage toward the sump located within the crawl space area.
We also observed 3/-inch to 1-Y2 -inch washed gravel placed above and below the pipe.
Filter fabric, to minimize silt infiltration, was also observed above the gravel and pipe
drainage system.
In our opinion the exterior perimeter drain observed was constructed in general accordance
with the plans and specifications for the project.
