The approved plans for your 14x30 shed shows a pair of doors with an overall width of
6'. In actuality a garage overhead door was installed. The installation of the overhead
door is not approved or allowed. These types of doors allow for the storage of a vehicle,
which is not allowed in garages with wood floors.
At this time I am revoking the inspection approval given on 12/6/00. This project was not
constructed in accordance with approved plans and is in violation of Uniform Building
Code Section 108. Use of this building without final approval would constitute a second
violation to UBC, Section 109.
I hereby order the removal of the overhead garage door and associated framing, to be
replaced with the approved 6' wide swing doors. This correction is to be completed
within 60 days of receipt of this letter. Failure to comply with this order will set in motion
an order to abate by removal.
Please notify me when corrections are completed.
