Bronsert Construction
3500 Bomar Avenue
Loveland, Colorado 80537
Project No:1092-75-07-04
Gentlemen:
consulting engineers
On June 21, 2000, a representative of Scott, Cox & Associates, Inc. conducted visual spot
observations of the drilling and installation of the twelve (12) inch diameter piers for the new
residence under construction at Lot 81, Overlook 4th, (1927 Lookout Lane), a subdivision of Fort
Collins, Colorado. The purpose of these observations was to assure that the piers were drilled
correctly for the -subsurface -conditions encountered- and-to-assure-tharthe piers -were constructed -
according to the specifications on the foundation plan by Scott, Cox & Associates, Inc., Project
No.:1092-75-07-03.
The pier drilling operations encountered claystone bedrock at depths of four (4) feet below the base
of various excavation levels. The piers were drilled a total minimum length of sixteen (16) feet with
a minimum bedrock embedment of six (6) feet, whichever was greater. Groundwater levels were
encountered in the borings at depths of sixteen (16) feet below the excavation. Casing of the borings
was not required.
As a result of our observations, it is our opinion that the construction of those piers observed were in
general conformance with the plans and specifications. If you have any questions about our
observations or this report, feel free to contact our office.
Sincerely,
SCOTT, COX & ASSOCIATES, INC.
