Project specifications state that all high strength bolted connections be constructed in accordance with A1SC "Specifications for Structural Joints using ASTM A-325 or A-490 Bolts". We used the Skidmore -Wilhelm strain gage in the field to calibrate our torque wrench with the ASTM C-325 bolts being used. We tested bolted connections in the above listed buildings in accordance with A1SC "Specifications for Structural Joints using ASTM A-325 or A-490 Bolts" and have found them to be tightened in accordance with project specifications. This report completes scheduled inspection on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, or if we can be of further service, please do not hesitate to call. Other plenums, not in corridors, need not be boxed in by a one hour fire rated enclosure, but combustible elements such as wood joists, must be protected by Type x gypsum. Finish materials used to enclose the plenum must have a flame spread less than 25 and a smoke spread less than 50. If this is not a correct understanding please contact me.
