(3 - 5) feet of sandy clay over a claystone bedrock which extends
to the depths drilled.
All piers observed were plumb, properly cleaned and of adequate
length and penetration as specified on our foundation plan, Job No.
3557-01-06-02. Water was encountered during drilling. Therefore,
we recommend that concrete be placed immediately after drilling of
each individual caisson. Casing was not required.
