Box 272272 Fort Collins, Colorado 80527 Gentlemen: We have visually observed the footing forms placed at the residence under construction at Lot 8, Scenic View, (850 S. Overland), a subdivision of Fort Collins, Colorado. This observation was performed on March 16, 1999. It is our opinion that the form widths are in substantial conformance with our foundation plan, Job No. 2154-16-04-01. No substantial amounts of loose material were noted below footing, wall or pad bearing locations. This observation does not, nor was it intended to cover setback requirements. It is the contractors/owners responsibility to verify that the home has been located within the appropriate building setbacks. If you have any questions, please feel free to call. Respectfully, James A. Cherry, P.E. FOUNDATION ENGINEERING, CONSULTING ENGINEERS, LTD. May 3, 1999 Commission No. 2154-16-12-01 Valley Crest Homes P.O. Box 272272 Fort Collins, Colorado 80527 Gentlemen: On March 11, 1999, we visually observed the excavation at Lot 8, Scenic View, (850 S. Overland Trail), a subdivision of Fort Collins, Colorado. The purpose of this observation was to verify that the soil conditions encountered in the excavation are generally consistent with those outlined in the soils report performed by EEC, Job No. 1952074A, dated February 19, 1996. This letter is not intended to be a summary of the soils report and does not meet the disclosure requirements of Colorado Senate Bill 13, 6-6.5-101. Test pits were excavated to a depth of three (3) feet below footing elevation. Bedrock was not observed within three (3) feet of footing elevation. The subsurface conditions exposed in the excavation appeared to be generally consistent with those described in the above referenced soils report, which recommend a spread footing type foundation system for these subsurface conditions. No water was encountered at a depth of approximately seven (7) feet. We recommend that damp -proofing be installed at the foundation walls for all below grade, habitable living areas per 1991 UBC Section 2915. It is our opinion that an exterior perimeter drain is required for this structure. If you lta`¢t, please feel free to call.
