Gentlemen:
On February 9, 2001, Weeks & Associates observed the foundation excavation at the
referenced site as requested. Observations indicate the soil at the foundation levels is sandy
lean clay. This soil is similar to those described in the geotechnical report for the site by Earth
Engineering Consultants, Inc., Project No. 1002249, dated January 3, 2001.
Based on site observations and a review of the geotechnical report, it is our opinion the spread
footing foundation system as recommended in the geotechnical report and detailed on the
foundation plan by Weeks & Associates, Inc., Project No. 20410, is applicable for the site soil
conditions.
