Dear Mr. Smith:
We have observed the drilling of several of the ten (10) inch
diameter, straight shaft piers supporting the residence under
construction at Lot 35, Huntington Hills Fourth Filing (6118
Normandy Court), a subdivision of Fort Collins, Colorado. This
inspection was performed on December 4, 1995.
Exposed soils measured from original grade consist of zero to one
(0 - 1) feet of sandy clay over a claystone bedrock shich extends
to the depths drilled, approximately thirteen to nineteen (13 - 19)
feet.
All piers observed were plumb, properly cleaned and of adequate
length as specified on our foundation plan, Job No. 2844-03-01-
01. No water was encountered during drilling. Casing was not
required.
